Dead Ox Trailblazers encourage everyone to get active outdoors in all seasons.
We offer a variety of programs for all ages, interests and abilities.
In winter we provide cross country ski lessons, snowshoeing and various outings. Winter biking is our newest offer.
Spring, summer & fall programs include a hiking group, a mountain bike program and paddling outings.
The hiking & walking continues into the fall.

Trails & Dead Ox Trailblazers
Trails are what we are all about - advocating, riding, walking, skiing, maintaining, protecting, building and grooming them.
After a snowfall you will see Dead Ox Trailblazers' Volunteers out grooming cross country ski (Oak Ridge, Lower Bald Hill) & fat biking (Burls & Bittersweet) trails in RMNP & McCreary Golf Course.
Dead Ox Trailblazers are members of the Riding Mountain Trail Stewards Association. This is the sixth season that the Riding Mountain Trail Stewards Association will be active in maintaining the precious trail resource that exists within the National Park during the winter season. We are disappointed that the efforts of the local park management and staff plus citizen advocacy attempts to reestablish winter services on a full time basis to RMNP have failed.
We are pleased that a business case for limited winter services have been funded in the park (mainly in Wasagaming area).
